This specialist training course aims to update and increase participants’ understanding of the epilepsies and provide a purposeful insight into what it feels like to have seizures. Participants will learn how to support people during and after seizures, better identify all types of seizures and understand when seizures are a medical emergency. The course will also teach the safe administration of buccal midazolam, enable the service to create safe emergency protocols and empower and engage people with epilepsy and their families and carers in maximizing the available local and national NHS epilepsy services.
